Recycled glass beads are traditional African beads made in Ghana, West Africa. They’re crafted using techniques that have been passed down for hundreds of years. Artisans crush old glass—like discarded drink and medicine bottles—and turn it into a fine powder. This powder is then placed into clay molds and fired in a special kiln to form the beads. Much of this bead-making is done by the Krobo people, and the process is eco-friendly because it gives new life to recycled materials.
